Fish in Garlic Lemon Butter Sauce



  • 200 Grams of Fish of your choice
  • 4 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1/2  Tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon Juice
  • 2 Tablespoon All Purpose flour
  • salt as required
  • 4 Garlic cloves chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Freshly ground black pepper
  • 1 Tablespoon Finely chopped coriander leaves


1. In a wide pan over medium heat, add 1 Tablespoon of butter
2. When the butter melts, add fish pieces and sauté them for 2 min changing sides after a min
3. Remove fish pieces and drain them on paper towel
4. In the same pan, add 3 tablespoon more butter. When the butter melts, add chopped garlic cloves
5. When the garlic starts to brown add 2 tablespoon AP flour and stir nicely with a whisk
6. Add fish pieces along with lemon Juice, pepper , coriander leaves , salt and few tablespoons of water / stock
7. Let the fish cook in butter sauce until its cooked from inside for about 5 min
8. Serve warm with steamed rice topped with sweet mango chutney
