Cocoa Honey Glazed Makhana - Roasted in Oven

Preparation Time : 5 Min
Baking Time : 10 Min
Yield : 2 Cups


2 Cups Makhana
2 Tablespoon Honey
1 Tablespoon unsweetened Cocoa powder
1/2 Teaspoon Instant coffee powder
2 big pinches of Salt
1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla extract


1. Preheat oven to 160 C
2. Grease a baking sheet and set aside
3. In a mixing bowl combine honey, cocoa, coffee powder, salt , vanilla extract

4. Mix 2 cups of Makhana and coat the honey mixture evenly over all the makhana

5. Spread the mixture evenly over greased baking sheet

6. Bake for 10 min tossing them and flipping sides half way through the baking process
7. Remove from oven. After 3 min, while they are still warm remove the roasted makhana pieces from the baking sheet and transfer to the storage container. Otherwise they stick to the baking sheet and difficult to remove


8. Serve when it is cooled completely
