Butter beans stir fried with caramelized onions, garlic and coarsely ground whole black peppercorns. Mildly spicy and crispy caramelized onions add little bit sweetness. Very easy to make and tastes delicious.
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Cooked butter beans
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 1 Teaspoon vegetable oil
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cumin Seeds
- 1 Large red onion chopped finely
- 2 Garlic cloves chopped finely
- 1 Teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper corns
- Salt to taste
- 1 Teaspoon chopped cilantro leaves for garnish
Directions
1. In a pan , add butter and oil. When the butter starts melting, add cumin seeds and fry for 30 seconds2. Add Garlic and fry until they are light golden. Then add red onion and sprinkle a pinch of salt. Fry on medium flame for 8 to 10 minutes until the onions are caramelized and crispy
3. Add ground peppercorns, season with salt and give it a nice stir
4. Add cooked beans and combine everything
5. Garnish with chopped cilantro leaves and serve hot
