Chocolate Nutella Mug Cake

A quick fix for a sudden sweet cravings. A delicious chocolate nutella mug cake in microwave. No eggs, just few readily available ingredients and less than 2 minutes in microwave. This is the best mug cake I have ever tried. My mug cake usually comes out dry. But this one was very moist, tasted delicious and perfect.

I served it with white chocolate Ganache. You can top it off with nutella frosting or Ganache or whipped cream frosting

Ingredients

  • 4 Tablespoons All purpose flour
  • 2 Tablespoons powdered granulated white sugar
  • 1/2 Tablespoon Cocoa powder
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Baking Powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 Tablespoons Nutella
  • 2 Tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • 1/2 Teaspoon espresso powder (optional)

Directions

1. In a small bowl mix together dry ingredients - all purpose flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder and salt. whisk it and set aside
2. In a separate bowl, mix milk and nutella until nutella dissolves completely without lumps
3. Then whisk in vegetable oil and espresso powder
4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk it gently. Do not over mix
5. Pour the mixture in a microwave safe mug and microwave on high for 1 minute and 45 seconds. My microwave high power was 750 W. You need to adjust the timing according to your microwave oven setting. Check the cake at 1 minute and 20 seconds. And microwave in the intervals of 5 seconds. do not over cook, the cake will become dry and hard
6. Serve with whipped cream / chocolate Ganache topped
