Mint Chutney is a dip made from Mint leaves and served as a condiment in small quantity along with main dish. This dip can be served for snacks or along with main dish like Biryani / Flavoured rice. This can be used in sandwich or burger as a spread.
Mint dip is a flavourful condiment and it is full of freshness , aromatic and mildly spiced. You can however increase the chillies to make it spicier.
2. Then add shallots and fry until they are translucent
3. Then add coconut slices, Green Chilli and mint leaves and fry until the coconut have light brown color over the edges and mint leaves shrink in size
4. Add tamarind and switch off the flame
5. Let the ingredients cool completely
6. Now transfer the ingredients into a food processor. Add salt and 2 tablespoons of regular tap water and grind it to fine paste
7. Transfer the chutney to the serving dish and serve as a dip

- 1 Cup Packed Fresh mint Leaves
- 1 Teaspoon Sesame seed oil / Vegetable Oil
- 5 Shallots peeled and washed
- 2 Tablespoon Fresh Coconut sliced
- 1 Green Chilli
- 1 Tablespoon Urad Dal ( optional )
- a pinch of Tamarind
- salt to taste

1. In a pan, heat oil. When the oil is hot, add urad dal and fry until the dal is light golden2. Then add shallots and fry until they are translucent
3. Then add coconut slices, Green Chilli and mint leaves and fry until the coconut have light brown color over the edges and mint leaves shrink in size
4. Add tamarind and switch off the flame
5. Let the ingredients cool completely
